Rodrigo Martinez comes back to visit UNIST.

by on December 1, 2011

Rodrigo Martinez joined me as a UCI student at UNIST in the fall of 2009. In the meantime he graduated and is now a post-doc at EPFL. In November 2011 he came back to UNIST to discuss future collaborations between UNIST, UCI and EPFL.

These are some pictures from the dinner for his return.

Dinner for EPFL's Rodrigo Martinez coming back to UNIST for a visit.

Rodrigo brought us Swiss Chocolate.

Here is picture at the dinner table after a lot of Makgeolli, also known as Makkoli or Makuly(takju) (and referred to in English as “Korean rice wine”), an alcoholic beverage native to Korea. It is made from a mixture of wheat and rice which gives it a milky, off-white color, and sweetness.

Back together. Rodrigo revisits UNIST after two years.

The next day we inaugurated the UNIST sign.

This sign talks to us, it tells us what to do every morning.

We line-up for it and pray for it.

To give special respect we jump up for it. Except me, I am too old and I hurt my back.

I could not jump, I am too old and I hurt my back.

Anyways we had a good time. Thanks for visiting UNIST Rodrigo. See you next year.
